National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) tentatively in the first week of May 2017.
NEET has replaced AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) and all state level medical entrance examination for admission to all government/privat/deemed medical or dental colleges or universities across India.

- Seven AIIMS institutions across India
- JIPMER, Puducherry & Karaikal
- Students must be citizen of an India or Overseas Citizen of India
- Students must be 17 years of age as on 31 December 2016
- The age limit for General students are 25 years and SC/ST/OBC students are 30 years
- Students of General category must have secured at least 50% marks in PCB and SC/ST/OBC students have to obtain a at least 40% marks in PCB
The exam pattern for NEET 2017 is:
- NEET 2017 exam date and time - First Sunday of May 2017
- Exam mode - Pen and paper based
- Exam duration - 3 hours
- Exam Language - Hindi, English and Vernacular
- No. of Questions - 180 (Biology - 90 questions, Physics - 45 questions and Chemistry - 45 questions)
- Marking Scheme- +4 for correct answer and -1 for wrong answer
